PTA Steps in to Block Porn Websites on Mobile Internet

After receiving numerous complaints about pornographic and objectionable content easily accessible on mobile networks, PTA has now decided to step in.

The Telecommunication Authority is considering its options to block adult content that can be accessed via mobile internet, reported The Nation.

Whether you access internet through personal computer or mobile phone the law is same; objectionable sites are banned in country.

Sources suggest that most of the mobile operators are using VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and may be they have enabled access intentionally, in order to increase the mobile data usage.

People who watch videos are likely to consume much more data, resulting in more profits for the telecom operators.

PTA is Trying Hard to Block Them All:

PTA has already blocked access for more than 400,000 objectionable websites in the recent years ─ however new websites keep appearing now and then.

Also some smartphone users browse through applications that has a built in VPN, bypassing all kind of restrictions.

It could be a tiresome job for PTA to block adult content for more than 133,477,666 mobile phone users.
