Zong partners with Xiaomi for Pakistan Launch

Zong has partnered with Xiaomi to launch its premium quality smartphones in Pakistan.

Zong is the only cellular network in Pakistan to have entered into a partnership with Xiaomi.

Xiaomi’s decision to enter into this partnership is due to fastest internet speeds and Zong currently has the widest 4G coverage in the industry.

Moreover, this partnership is geared to give a considerable boost to Xiaomi in their business venture in Pakistan.

Following this partnership, customers will be able to access top of the line Xiaomi handsets, including 4G smartphones and accessories at Xiaomi display centers at Zong’s Customer Service Centers.

Special 4G Data offers:

What do you think Zohair, what would be the prices for Xiamoi? I think its not going to serve the main purpose of Xiamoi which is great quality in cheap price. Here I guess the prices would be very high then international market. Whats your take?

Prices will be higher, absolutely higher.

    • Well, Xiaomi’s success is due to the “online sales model”, they sold everything from a single warehouse cutting major costs.

Later other brands like LeEco, Meizu and Honor copied the model, so Xiaomi lost its edge.

New markets like Pakistan where ecommerce is still in infancy. The preferable sales channel is offline. That means higher prices, because you have to pay commissions to the dealers and sales people. Not to forget there are taxes imposed by government.

But this is acceptable, unless they go for ridiculously high prices. If $100 phone goes for 13,000 in Pakistan, that’s good but if they price it for 18,000. They are fools and would waste money and resources only.
