Yesterday at WWDC 2013 Apple has introduced the iOS 7, the latest version of the Operating system that runs on iPhones, iPods and iPads.

New flattened UI:
This new version brings a complete overhaul of the color palette with new flatter design icons and other gimmicks. iOS 7 has a less skeumorphic look and the app icons are simplified and flattened, with popping colors and moving backgrounds.

Control Center:
The newest feature added in this version is the control center, an area which can be activated within any application to bring control toggles like Wi-Fi, brightness and other settings. Notifications center has also been overhauled and now there are larger spaces between messages and Today tab for latest info and All tab for everything else is added. Notification center can also launched from lockscreen now.

Better Multitasking:
Multitasking in iOS 7 has been improved, it continuously monitors which apps you use frequently and determine which ones need full functioned multitasking. Now a full preview of running apps is shown for multitasking, just like Windows Phone.

Air Drop:
Apple has also added AirDrop from OS X into the latest mobile operating system, it allows users to share documents, music and apps to other users on the same Wi-Fi connection. This feature only supports iPhone 5, iPad 4G, iPad mini and iPod 5G.

Better Camera and Photos:
The camera and photos apps are also improved, now the camera offers instagram like filters. You can filter your photos in moments and can share them with iCloud Photostreams. The application has the same flat look.

Overhauled App Store:
The App Store all got the new design and now shows apps that are popular nearby or with your friends just like Windows Phone. Another improvement is that your apps will now update automatically.

System Controls and New UI for Siri:
System controls and a new interface is added for Siri, It can now pull data from Twitter, Bing and Wikipedia. You can also choose between male and female voices now.

iTunes Radio:
The new iTunes Radio service is integrated into the Music application. It allows users to create a Pandora like radio station from favorite artists. The new app keeps track of all the music you listen across iTunes, Apple TV and iOS7. Its free with ads, but iTunes Match subscribers get the version without ads.

Other new features include Facetime Audio (VoIP over Wi-Fi), Notification sync between devices, so you won’t have to clear them all on all of the devices. Weibo integration in China, Per-app VPN for Entrerprise and Activation lock feature which prevents anyone else to activate your phone and asks for the iCloud password.

Availability:
The beta version of iOS 7 is available to download for developers, where as the final version of iOS 7 for iPhone 4, 4S, 5, iPad 2, iPad Retina and iPad mini will be released in fall when the new iPhone is announced.
