OPPO N3 Launch event Happening Tomorrow in Singapore

The launch of OPPO N3 smartphone is happening tomorrow in Singapore (another event will take place in Beijing at the same time). We’ve been hearing lots of rumors about this new flagship device and the company is also creating a hype by releasing new teasers after every couple of days.

What we know so far, is that this new flagship device will carry forward the swivel camera design. The camera performance has been improved with a 16-megapixel sensor and now the rotating mechanism has tiny motors which will allow automatic rotation rather than having to twist it manually.

The other notable feature of the new flagship device is the fingerprint scanner on the back. I’m not sure that if it also doubles as the O-touch panel, but it looks much better than iPhone and Samsung as you just have to press your finger against it rather than swiping upon the button.

OPPO N3 will have a similar design to its predecessor, however its not plastic anymore. There are two options to chose from, either its lithium-aluminum alloy or the stainless steel.

The hardware specifications of N3 haven’t been revealed in any of the teasers but most likely it will have a 5.5-inch 1080p screen,  Snapdragon 805 chipset and 3GB of RAM along with 16/32GB of storage.

OPPO R5, The Mystery Device:

One of the recent teasers reveal that OPPO is going to launch another device besides the N3. It matches some of the previous leaks of the much rumored 4mm thin OPPO R5. We’ve confirmed that OPPO is going to launch a R series phone at the event, but will it be the thinnest phone? nothing could be said at the moment.

It merits mentioning here that OPPO has sent a pair of virtual-reality goggles along with the invitation to the Chinese media. These goggles looks much like Samsung VR and Google Cardboard. Which means that OPPO is also the VR business now and we could see these goggles in the market very soon.
