It’s done, Google has finally revealed the next version of Android to be called “Nougat”.

It also showed off the new statue design today, which features a green Android mascot standing on top of three bars of the sweet chewy confection.

Google thanked Android fans around the world helping name the next version of its mobile OS by suggesting sweet name ideas.

Though Nutella was the hot favorite but at the very last moment, Google has decided to go with Nougat.

Android Nougat will be the final version for the Android N developer preview and it is expected to be released in September this.

This new version will bring improved performance and new features, like side-by-side apps, VR enhancements and redesigned notifications panel for Android.
