Pakistan’s National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially announced the SMS CNIC Reverification Service.

Through this service Pakistani residents can check the persons registered as their family members and if there is any illegal person marked as a family member they can report it to NADRA.

How to use this Service:

• To use this service you must have a valid CNIC number and a mobile phone with SMS access.
• Send your / head of family’s CNIC number to 8008 and you’ll instantly get a reply with all registered family members.
• The CNIC number format should be like this xxxxx-xxxxxxx-x
• If you’re satisfied with the result then reply the message with 2, but if there is any discrepancy, reply with 1.
• A NADRA representative will call you to resolve the issue, you may have to visit the NADRA center.

NADRA is also sending SMS messages to all heads of the families to let them know about this service.

Government will start the reverification of all Computerized National Identity Cards from 1st of July.
