Huawei has launched the latest flagship device in Honor series today, dubbed as Honor 8. This sub-brand of Huawei offers premium quality smartphones at a comparatively lower price.

Honor 8 takes some of its goodness from the recently launched Huawei P9. However it offers glass design instead of metal and costs almost half the price.

It has a 5.2″ LTPS display with 1080p resolution, Kirin 950 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB expandable storage. (This phone also comes in 3GB/32GB & 4GB/32GB variants).

Honor 8 packs a dual camera setup on the back, similar to P9 but doesn’t contain the Leica moniker. The duo of B&W and RGB camera offers 12MP resolution and on the front there is an 8MP shooter.

This phone has Dual SIM functionality with 4G LTE support and the latest USB Type-C adapter. It packs a 3,000mAh battery, but there is no mention of quick charging.

Honor 8 also has a fingerprint scanner and both front and back are covered by 2.5D curved glass.

It runs the latest version of Android with Huawei’s own EMUI 4.1 on top of it. Honor it is available in White, Gold, Black, Blue and Pink Colors.

Currently this phone is only available in China at a price of $300 and will soon hit Pakistan’s market.
