Microsoft launches Stream, a YouTube like video streaming service

Microsoft has launched a YouTube like video streaming service that is geared towards businesses and enterprise customers, named Stream.

Microsoft Stream builds upon the learnings and success of Office 365 Video, and over time the two experiences will converge, making Stream the de facto video experience in Office 365.

In the blog post Microsoft points out that anyone with a business email address can sign up for the Stream preview in seconds and begin uploading, sharing and tagging videos in their organization.

You can upload videos and organize them in channles, these videos will play on “any device, anytime,” though you can manage who sees your content.

The service also uses machine learning to surface “trending” videos within your organization, and you can search by hashtag, most liked, and other filter.
