Galaxy Note 4 Exploded and Caught Fire, First Reported Case in Pakistan

From phones to washing machines, Samsung products are “exploding” all over the world and no one seems to have any clue what went wrong?

It all started with Note 7 randomly catching fire and even exploding in some cases. The Korean technology giant tried to rectify the problem but when it got out of hands they decided to scrap the Note 7 altogether, phew! only costed them a 10 billion dollars.

Quite recently some of Samsung’s washing machines tried to explode as well but the matter was handled quickly and quite professionally. The owners were offered refunds and free technical support.

However, it seems that the “exploding virus” is now infecting older devices as well. For the very first time a Pakistani customer has claimed that his Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone has exploded while he was asleep.

Aftab Afridi a computer programmer from Islamabad told his story on Twitter, after he made failed attempts to contact Samsung Pakistan this morning.

Afridi didn’t mention that if he was using the original charger and how long was the phone on charging, albeit the aftermath is quite scary.

He woke up with a loud explosion only to find his precious smartphone was burning with heavy smoke on his mattress. He quickly unplugged the cable from power socket and threw off the phone on ground, but injured his hands in the process.

This is first reported incident of Galaxy Note 4:

It merits mentioning that this is the first time a Galaxy Note 4 has been reported to catch fire / explode. Some other users have reported similar behavior with the newer Galaxy S7s but the older Samsung smartphones were considered immune.

We’ve asked Samsung Pakistan for their official response to this claim and will update the post once we hear back from them.
