Employers and Job Seekers are now going to get more social with each other, as Facebook is ready to take on LinkedIn.

The California based internet-giant announced today that they were testing a new feature that allowed page admins to create job postings and interested candidates could send their applications for these positions.

This new jobs feature from Facebook could a mean a lot to employers, where they can tap world’s largest social network for the best talent available out there. Similarly, job seekers can easily find relevant jobs without switching profiles, since most of us are already following our favorite brands and companies on Facebook.

Most of all, this could become one of the major sources of income for Facebook, as it could charge both employers and job seekers to connect with each other.

Based on behavior we’ve seen on Facebook, where many small businesses post about their job openings on their Page, we’re running a test for Page admins to create job postings and receive applications from candidates,” a company spokesman told Reuters

LinkedIn Won’t “Like” it:

However, this move could hurt LinkedIn’s business, as it makes most of its revenue from these employers and job seekers who pay a monthly feed to connect.

There is no word about the general availability of this new feature, but hopefully we will see it very soon.
