Last month I’ve seen a new logo for PTCL Evo cloud saying “Char Ji”. At that time I had no idea what it was all about, but today we’ve got some confirmation that PTCL is going to introduce the next generation of wireless broadband with speeds up to 36Mbps.

charji

Yes you’ve read it right, 36Mbps on the go. The Char Ji service (codename Project Eagle) will surely raise the bar by providing download speeds up to 36Mbps and uploads at 7Mbps with in PTCL’s existing WLL spectrum.

Char Ji service is said to be launched in the next couple of weeks. There is no word on the prices of USB device but the package will be starting from 3000/month. Don’t get too excited, there will 30GB fair usage policy attached to it. 36Mbps speed means you can easily cross this limit with in a couple of hours.

PTCL is currently testing this service in the major cities of Pakistan and the actual speeds varies between 20-25Mbps.

What do you think about this blazing fast wireless broadband service from PTCL? and about the stupid fair usage policy attached to it. Do share your opinion in the comments section below.
