Okay, Folks, The free ride is almost over. Warid has started sending out text messages to all 4G customers that their free 4G LTE trial service is going to expire very soon.

Warid has been offering free 4G LTE trials for customers in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Peshawar. Postpaid customers were preferred for the trials and they have been enjoying the free high speed mobile internet since early November, however the prepaid customers jumped the bandwagon just two weeks ago.

warid-lte-trial-endA little birdie told me that Warid will introduce 4G LTE packages for both postpaid and prepaid customers, starting next year and a few more cities will be added to the coverage area.

Do note that to get Warid 4G LTE services, you need to get your current SIM replaced. The SIM is free of cost for postpaid customers, however prepaid customers have to pay 100 for the SIM. It also merits mentioning here that postpaid customers will have to deposit Rs. 1000 extra security, in order get this service activated.

My experience with Warid 4G LTE during the trial is quite satisfactory. Nearly all of the Lahore is covered but speeds may vary on different locations. One thing I’ve noticed that after the company initiated free trials for prepaid customers the speeds have been reduced much, but I hope that it will improve once they put charges on it.

If you have been using this service, do share your experience in the comments section below and don’t feel shy asking any questions.
