Mobilink, the largest cellular network of Pakistan has partnered with Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. Mobilink has a history of association with cricket and has taken multiple initiatives to promote Cricket in the country. The partnership with Lahore Qalandars will further strengthen Mobilink’s commitment to promoting cricket in Pakistan. To mark the partnership, an event was held in Lahore which was attended by Mobilink’s management, PCB officials, Lahore Qalandars’ Management, distinguished Media Personalities and fans.
Speaking at the event, Aamir Ibrahim, Deputy CEO and CCO-Mobilink said, “We intend to provide full support to the team. Lahore Qalandars is a formidable team which has a great probability of winning the PSL. The introduction of Pakistan Super League is a pivotal moment for Pakistan to revitalize the game of cricket in the country. Lahore Qalandars, one of the five cricketing franchises participating in the inaugural Pakistan Super League, comprises of a good mix of players.The squad comprises of Azhar Ali, Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Rizwan, Kevon Cooper, Hammad Azam, Zafar Gohar, Mustafizur Rahman, Zia Ul Haq, Cameron Delport, Zohaib Khan, Naveed Yasin, Adnan Rasool, Abdul Razzaq, Mukhtar Ahmed, Ehsan Adil and Imran Butt.
Lahore Qalandars will be battling it out with Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators in the inaugural PSL T20 Tournament scheduled to take place in Dubai and Sharjah early next month. Lahore Qalandars will have its first match against Karachi Kings on February 5, 2016.
