Forget MacBooks, because HP is here with one very sleek and stylish laptop, which combines exceptional engineering and craftsmanship with beauty and performance.
Unveiled yesterday at the New York Times International Luxury Conference in Paris, the new HP Spectre 13.3 is a powerhouse of a machine in a footprint that earns it the title of world’s thinnest laptop.
It is about 10.4 millimeters thick, roughly 3 millimeters thinner than Apple MacBook Air and about the size of a AAA battery. The carbon fiber bottom creates a thin profile that is both durable and lightweight, keeping the total weight of the laptop at just 1.11 kilograms.
It packs a 13.3″ Full HD IPS edge-to-edge display featuring Corning Gorilla Glass. On the inside it runs on 6th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and a PCIe SSD with storage up to 512 GB with up to 8 GB of memory for maximum performance. Moreover it comes with three full function USB Type-C connectors, including two of which support Thunderbolt, to provide a fast, versatile I/O connection. Stereo speakers by Bang & Olufsen with HP Audio Boost technology are bundled inside as well.
As for battery life, HP promises for up to 9 and half hours of battery life with a hybrid battery split, that delivers the same wattage while maintaining the thinness of laptop.
“The HP Spectre is the thinnest notebook in the world, and unlike the majority of other super thin PCs on the market, this laptop doesn’t compromise power or features,” said Kevin Frost, vice president and general manager, consumer personal systems, HP Inc. “A beautiful Full HD edge-to-edge display, Intel® Core™ i processors coupled with Bang & Olufsen sound and a sexy and thin design, HP amazing engineers set a new standard with the all new Spectre.”
Spectre 13.3 will be available for pre-order on April 25 with a base price of $1,169 and will ship next month in US and soon after in other countries.
