According to the company stats, more than 95 million photos and videos are posted at Instagram on a normal day ─ from people around the globe, 80% of which reside outside the United States.

In the past of couple of years, Instagram is heavily focusing on ads. A recent change now shows photos ordered by an algorithm rather than shown in chronological order; some experts claim that it will cause more ads to appear in the photo feed. However Instagram’s CEO and co-founder Kevin Systrom refused those claims and said that we only wanted to show “more relevant content” first.
In the recent years, Instagram has become the home of countless artists, musicians and athletes ─ giving a tough competition to Twitter and Snapchat.
