The global authority on real estate websites, Property Portal Watch (PPW), named Zameen.com among the world’s ‘Top 5 Property Portals to Watch’ in a four-day conference held from May 31 to June 3 in Bangkok.
Simon Baker, the founder of PPW and former chief executive officer of the REA Group, announced his top picks and declared Zameen.com the 5th most effective portal in the world. The portal’s data-driven approach and state-of-the-art management techniques were also admired during the conference.
Other international names such as the United Kingdom’s Rightmove, Australlia’s Realestate, United States’ Trulia and Brazil’s VivaReal were included in the list. While addressing the conference, Baker revealed that almost 8,000 to 10,000 property portals are currently operating in the world and their number is increasing gradually.
Representatives of 25 companies from across the globe attended the conference and shared their ideas and products which are critical to the growth of online real estate industry.
Imran Ali Khan, the Co-founder of Zameen.com, represented the portal at the conference. “Seeing Zameen.com among top real estate websites has been one of our goals since day 1 and the realisation of this goal equals great success for us,” said Khan.
Along with numerous accolades, including two CNBC International Property Awards (the Best Property Portal Pakistan Award in 2007 and the Best International Portal Award in 2008), Zameen.com was also named one of the top eight portals in the world “to watch and learn from” at the PPW’s conference in Amsterdam in October 2015.
