The Allama Iqbal International Airport of Lahore will soon get full body scanners installed, which were earlier donated by Saudi Arabia.
This step has been taken to stop the smuggling of narcotics from Pakistan to other countries especially Saudi Arabia.
These scanners will enhance the operational capabilities of Anti-Narcotics Force. Three sets of body scanners value around Rs 48.2 million.
The equipment arrived at Karachi airport on April 17 but was waiting for clearance from Federal Board of Revenue.
