The Chinese smartphone maker Meizu is one of the fast-rising smartphone brand in the world.
The company has recently expanded its operations to several key Asian markets and our sources suggest that Meizu will also launch in Pakistan market by the end of this year.
Meizu is known for its unique approach on Android, which makes it quite similar to iPhone both in terms of layout and user experience.
Though Android is at the core with a customized UI called Flyme OS, it feels more like an iPhone.
Just like the iPhone, Meizu phones have a single home key called mBack, which serves as the home button, menu, back and the fingerprint reader.
Meizu also introduced a ring flash for camera and the new antenna lines, which were later adapted by Apple as well.
Meizu’s Fast Launch at MWC:
Meizu had its presence at the MWC for the past couple of years, but it is the first time it is actually going to hold a launch event.
The company has already sent invitations for its MWC launch event on Feb 28, 2017.
It is unclear if Meizu is going to launch a new smartphone there, because the invitation gives a hint that it is about fast charging technology rather than a smartphone.
Presently, Meizu’s mCharge technology can juice up the phone’s battery up to 25% in about 10 minutes and get to 60% in another 30 minutes. However, it is still slower than OPPO’s VOOC flash charge, which is by far the most rapid charging technology.
We can assume that Meizu could launch a new technology that can charge smartphones faster than OPPO’s VOOC, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge or other fast charging solutions.
Some sources also suggest that it could be Meizu’s first smartphone with Snapdragon chipset, after its road map was leaked recently describing a Snapdragon powered device in the works.
