Pakistan ended August with a total of 46.85 million broadband subscribers, up from 44.50 million in July. Of these, around 44.49 million were mobile broadband subscribers in August, compared to 42.99 million in July, according to figures released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

Around 565,709 internet users connected through EV-DO technology, while the DSL base reached 1.54 million subscribers at end-August.

Around 160,519 internet customers used Wimax connections, and HFC connected 51,065 internet subscribers. The FTTH internet base reached 51,097 users at end-August.

Total number of mobile phone users in Pakistan reached 139.97 million by end of August 2017 compared to 139.781 million by end of July 2017, which registered an increase of 189,008 users.
