Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has received another deposit amounting to Rs. 6.17 Billion (equivalent to USD 27.92 Million) for spectrum assigned to Ufone through an auction held in 2021.
The amount has accordingly been deposited in the Federal Consolidated Fund (FCF). With this deposit in FCF, the cumulative deposit by PTA in FCF during the current financial year i.e. 2022-23 has become Rs. 29.15 Billion (equivalent to USD 134 Million).
Ufone was awarded the Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS) spectrum by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in 2021. The company won the spectrum in a bid to enhance 4G customer experience across the country.
