Redmi has officially announced that the global launch date for the Redmi Note 12 Pro + is scheduled for January 5 next year, in order to coincide with the Chinese New Year. This is the first Redmi phone to come with a 200MP (200 megapixels) camera, which is a first among Redmi phones.

Last week Xiaomi teased that the Redmi Note 12 series is launching in india soon, but didn’t give an exact date. It’s also not clear which models are coming – the Pro+ is a surely on the list, the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro are yet to RSVP. There’s also the Redmi Note 12 Discovery, the version of the Pro+ with 210W charging, but that one may remain exclusive to China.

There have been 300 million shipments of the Xiaomi Redmi Note series so far, with 72 million of them going to India, making it the world’s fastest selling smartphone.

Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro +, and Note 12 Discovery smartphones are powered by the Tiangui 1080 chip, but they differ in terms of camera, battery, and memory, with the Discovery model coming with a 200MP pixel main camera and a 210W wired charger.
