It’s expected that Huawei Mate X3 with satellite communication will launch soon, as a tipster has revealed some interesting details about Huawei’s upcoming foldable phone. It is expected to launch before Huawei’s P60 series, meaning it will be the company’s next flagship.

With next-generation satellite communication, Mate X3 owners will be able to send and receive short messages directly through the satellite network using the Mate X3. In a marked improvement over the first implementations of this functionality, it will also support sending voice messages.The previous satellite communication tech in the Huawei Mate 50 only supports one-way sending of messages.

At present, the Huawei Mate 50 series and Mate Xs 2 both support the Beidou satellite message function. The ability to send and receive messages when you don’t have coverage is kind of impressive.
