During Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas, LG Electronics Inc. unveiled its first wireless television, the world’s first organic light emitting diode (OLED) TV with “zero connect” technology. LG introduced the world’s first 4K 120Hz wireless solution with zero connect technology, LG Signature OLED M.
LG’s M3 is a mammoth 97-inch television that receives its audio and video from LG’s Zero Connect box. Home theater equipment can be placed at a 30-foot range on one side of a room, while the TV can be mounted elsewhere, enabling the Zero Connect box to deliver real-time video and audio in up to 4K 120Hz. It can connect various surrounding devices such as consoles and sound bars as it supports HDMI 2.1, USB, RF, LAN Port and Bluetooth.
The TV is equipped with a real-time video and audio wireless transmission solution, which sends data three times faster than existing WiFi 6E. It is also compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound.
The chief executive officer of LG Electronics Cho Joo-wan said, “We completely changed customers’ TV viewing experience by introducing the first OLED TV that no one ever imagined,”
Cho pointed to diversification in its business portfolio to enhance innovation speed through increasing customer experience. He vowed to enhance content partnership with Paramount Streaming that gives streaming service through WebOS software.
Other details related to the new LG Signature OLED TV such as the price remains unknown. We also don’t have a word on its availability as of now. LG would possibly reveal more details soon.
