The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 already made headlines in 2021 with its huge 49′′ gaming monitor, but this year it went and made something even bigger. As a follow-up to Samsung’s previous Neo G9, the Odyssey Neo G9 is even bigger this time with improved specs.

As a successor to Samsung’s previous Neo G9, the Odyssey Neo G9 was just unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This time, the screen is 57 inches and is advertised as a “super ultra-wide curved display”.

This is Samsung’s first 8K ultrawide monitor with a resolution of 7860 x 2160 pixels and a 32:9 aspect ratio. The matte display has a 1000000:1 contrast ratio and HDR 1000 support, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response rate.

Samsung has increased its width to 57 inches and dubbed it Neo G9.The company also says it is the first gaming monitor to have Display Port 2.1 connectivity support, which also adds support for lossless Display Stream Compression. Perhaps it will have a One Connect Box like the Odyssey Ark, but there’s no information on what other connectors the monitor will offer.

Samsung has not yet revealed all of the details about this new monitor, but has promised to reveal more information soon. Given its premium specs, it is almost certain that the price will be high, but details on the price haven’t been revealed yet.
