The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to release sometime before the second half of 2023. Rumours claim that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a 108MP primary camera.
In a recent report by Vietnamese publication The Pixel, Samsung may opt out of the 50MP camera in favor of the 108MP primary camera, which will appear on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In consequence, the device will weigh around 275 grams, a bit heavier than the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which weighs 263 grams.
This increase in weight is expected to be a result of the new 108MP camera. This is excellent news (though it isn’t concrete and is just a rumour), especially since foldable phones are often criticized for their poor camera performance.
As well as the main camera, the telephoto camerawill also be improved on the Galaxy Z Fold 5. A 64MP camera with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide camera will accompany the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s main 108MP camera, according to reports. With the company’s track record, we shouldn’t expect a major camera update twice in a row, let alone a downgrade from three to two times zoom.
In addition to a dedicated slot for the S-Pen, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is also equipped with a new hinge that reduces screen creases and allows it to fold completely flat when folded.
