Redmi is now preparing to launch the world’s fastest charging technology for smartphones. The Chinese company has officially teased the 300W Immortal Second Charger Technology, as seen in the poster below.

It claims that the 300W charger will charge a phone to full capacity in just 5 minutes. Nevertheless, Redmi has yet to clarify the technical aspects.

Redmi’s demonstration video shows that 290W peak charging speed is possible with this technology. It can charge a smartphone battery to 50% in only two minutes and to 100% in five minutes.

It merits mentioning here that the charger and battery have a combined theoretical maximum power of 300W, however it is capped for safety.

There is no information on when a smartphone equipped with the technology will be available for purchase.
