Microsoft plans to introduce AI-powered versions of Word and Outlook

Microsoft is reportedly planning to introduce upgraded Office apps with AI features in the coming weeks. As early as this March, the tech giant plans to show the capabilities of its Prometheus AI technology and OpenAI’s language AI for Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft 365 apps.

The company recently launched the Edge with an embedded AI assistant, powered by Prometheus. In the top-right corner, there is a button that opens Bing’s new chat feature – this is like having ChatGPT directly in your browser.

Microsoft desires for its AI technology to be able to make graphs and visuals for PowerPoint or Excel use. An earlier report from The Information specified that Microsoft also seeks its AI model to generate text through straightforward instructions within Office applications.

It is not surprising that Microsoft is hurrying to introduce new AI-enabled capabilities for its products. Evidently, the corporation wants to get as many individuals as possible to use its items before Google can present its ChatGPT competitor.

Reportedly, Microsoft was intended to launch the new Bing in late February, but it hastened the release and set it prior to Google’s Bard announcement.
