There is a growing interest in foldable smartphones, and TECNO’s premium subbrand, Phantom, is about to launch a foldable smartphone on February 28, 2023 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the PHANTOM V Fold. Latest leaks have revealed the Phantom V Fold’s design in its entirety.

Back in January, TECNO put out a teaser that appeared to be a concept video for a roll-able smartphone. It is believed the PHANTOM V Fold will be of the left-right foldable type, but certain characteristics from the concept clip could still appear in the upcoming phone.

Reports have also exposed that the PHANTOM V Fold will have a hinge with an opposite snap system, which is similar to what was seen in the concept video. This hinge is purported to increase structural firmness of the handset while aerospace-grade components used for it should guarantee that it remains lightweight and robust.

It appears that the PHANTOM V Fold will possess a circular camera design with three back lenses, part of a 5-lens system. Taking pictures should be effortless and the leaked image reveals that it will come in black. There is talk of a second color option as well.

Additionally, this left-right foldable phone might be the first to incorporate MediaTek’s advanced Dimensity 9000+ processor which has been seen in devices such as TECNO Phantom X2 and Vivo X80.

There is no doubt that the anticipation for the PHANTOM V Fold is at an all-time high, thanks to the leaks on the web, and upon launch, it will compete against other popular foldable smartphones, such as Huawei Mate X and Oppo Find N2 Flip.

As consumers wait for more information from TECNO, the countdown to Phantom V Fold’s official launch is underway!
