OPPO is Quitting Several Key Markets – OnePlus To Follow

According to reports, OPPO is leaving a number of important European markets, including the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and France.

The information about OPPO ‘s impending exit from the UK and Germany first surfaced on a Chinese forum. This was followed by tweets from business insiders who indicated that OnePlus would also follow its parent firm. This approach may have been motivated by patent infringement lawsuits against Nokia following the expiration of significant patent agreements between the two businesses in 2021.

In July 2021, Nokia began a series of lawsuits against OPPO, and after winning judgements in two German courts, the sale of OPPO and OnePlus phones in Germany was prohibited. Nokia has also launched lawsuits against OPPO in several European and Asian nations, including Finland, Sweden, the UK, and the Netherlands, alleging patent infringement.

OnePlus has since issued an official statement denying reports that it is exiting European markets. OPPO has yet to make an official statement.
