TikTok will no longer be available on government devices in the UK because to security reasons and the prohibition is in force right now. It is worth noting that the United States, Canada, Belgium, and the European Commission all made identical decisions.

The security of sensitive government information must come first, so today, we are banning this app on government devices. The use of other data-extracting apps will be kept under review.

Several Western countries are concerned about TikTok since it is known to collect user data outside of the app. Government personnel are permitted to install TikTok on their personal smartphones, but the restriction only applies to government devices used for work-related activities involving sensitive information.

TikTok expressed disappointment with the ruling and stated that it has already began taking efforts to secure European user data.
