OPPO launches A78 4G with 6.43″ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 680 chipset & 67W charging

Following several leaks, OPPO has officially introduced the OPPO A78 4G smartphone in the SEA Markets. It plans to launch the phone in other international markets soon.

Specifications

In terms of display, the OPPO A78 4G features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. In terms of design, the phone features a hole-punch cutout in the top left corner that houses the front camera.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, and comes in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, with the option of upgrading storage up to 1TB with a microSD card. Moreover, the device supports 8GB of virtual RAM. There is a 5000mAh battery on the phone, along with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging capabilities. The company claims that within 30 minutes, the phone reaches 76% battery capacity.

In terms of photography, It has a 50MP primary camera sensor with a 2MP bokeh lens. Notable features of the camera are the 108MP ultra-clear mode, dual-view video mode, and Bokeh Flare portrait mode. On the software side, it runs on ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13. Additionally, an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, ultra-volume mode, and NFC support come with the OPPO A78 4G.

Pricing & availability

The OPPO A78 4G is available in Black Mist and Sea Green colors, and it has a single 8 GB RAM and 256GB storage trim. The pricing for the device is set aroud $236 converted and customers who will buy it from official online stores will receive a free pair of White Enco Buds2.
