Four million 2G and 0.8 million smartphone handsets were among the 4.88 million locally produced/assembled mobile phones. From July to May 2023, the total imports of telecom products in the country were worth $860.441 million. This showed a negative growth rate of 66.87 percent compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year, which had imports worth $2.597 billion.
