MediaTek has officially stated that it would unveil its next-generation flagship chip on October 9 in China. While the Taiwanese semiconductor maker has not published the chip’s particular name, it is expected to be the Dimensity 9400 SoC. The first smartphones equipped with this new processor are likely to be released in China next month.

There are significant indicators that vivo and Oppo will be the first to launch devices powered by the Dimensity 9400. According to reports, the vivo X200, vivo X200+, vivo X200 Pro, and vivo X200 Pro Satellite Communication Version would be announced as the first smartphones to have the Dimensity 9400 on October 14 in China.

Following that, the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Pro Satellite Communication Version, all of which will use the Dimensity 9400 SoC, are expected to be released on October 21 in the domestic market. Meanwhile, the Ultra variants, such as the vivo X200 Ultra and Oppo Find X8 Ultra, are rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to make its debut in the fourth week of October. According to rumors, the Xiaomi 15 series, which will be released the same week, will be the first smartphones in the world to have the Snapdragon 8 Generation 4. Additionally, the vivo X200 Ultra and Find X8 Ultra are set to be released in the first quarter of 2025.
