Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rahman met with the CEO’s of all five mobile companies of Pakistan in Islamabad on Tuesday to discuss the challenges faced by the industry and find the opportunities to expand the services in the country.
Ms. Rehman assured that the PML N government will continue to provide support to the telecom industry and will not make any policy that could bring a negative impact. A committee will be formed to solve the challenges of the industry in an efficient way.
It was also decided to constitute a committee that will monitor the upcoming 3G spectrum auction. Ms. Rehman praised the efforts of the telecom operators in attracting more investment and creating more job opportunities.
