Microsoft Office is one the oldest and most successful product form the Redmond giant. Originally launched in 1990, the suite of apps is widely popular among users all over the world using different operating systems, desktop and mobile.
Speaking of mobile devices, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint comes pre-installed on Windows / Windows Phone devices and the company has also released Office for iPad back in March.
Moving forward, Micorosft has now announced that iPhone and Android users can also get the Office experience on their devices. The company has updated Office for iPad with Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps and good news is that, all of them are free of cost.
Android support is still limited to 7 and 10.1 inch tablets running on Android KitKat 4.4 operating system. After filling out a short form you can opt-in to participate in the preview program. Microsoft recommends that users must not update their operating system in order to avoid any bugs.
It merits mentioning here that, in order to get full features of Office applications, users are required to have an Office 365 subscription.
