Mate 9 Promises to offer the best camera Experience:

The key highlight of this year’s iteration of Mate smartphone is the Leica dual-lens camera with Hybrid focus and Hybrid Zoom. The second generation dual-lens camera, co-engineered with Leica to fine-tune and enhance optical performance of the camera module, which now includes a 12MP -megapixel/F2.2 RGB sensor, a 20MP -megapixel/ F2.2 monochrome sensor and enhanced image fusion algorithms that work in concert to produce stunning photography.

Mate 9 also boasts the premium Kirin 960 chipset with Huawei’s Machine Learning Algorithm, which delivers a fast and smooth experience.

Big Battery, that doesn’t Explode:

A big phone always needs a bigger battery, Mate 9 combines a 4000 mAh high-density battery with its all new SuperCharge and power-saving technology that increases battery life to provide over two days of uninterrupted performance.

As per company claims 10 minutes of charge provides enough power to watch two full movies. Most importantly, the battery is equipped with Super Safe 5-gate protection, so it won’t “explode”.

Android Nougat Tastes Sweeter:

This is first phone from Huawei that brings Android Nougat experience, out of the box. The EMUI 5.0 customization promises it more intelligent and efficient over time by understanding consumers’ behavior patterns, and ensures the highest priority applications are given preference concerning system resources.

Early Verdict:

Huawei’s Mate 9 is the result of evolution, the Chinese manufacturer has learned a lot from its previous mistakes. This new phone is fast, smooth and packs some jaw dropping features. However all good features come at a very high price, so this isn’t meant to be the best choice for the majority of potential customers.

We will be doing a full review of this device in the coming weeks, in which our focus will be camera and performance of latest Kirin chipset.

Launch & Availability:

Mate 9 will be available in the 6 color palette, including Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown and Ceramic White. It will be launched on December 10, however there is no word on the pricing yet and Huawei has kept silent regarding limited edition Porsche Design Mate 9. Our best guess is that this phone will be priced in between Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 75,000 and the other two variants Mate 9 Pro and the Porsche Design won’t make it to this market.
