The serial leaker of gadgets, Evan Blas (@evleaks) says that Nokia is going to introduce at least 4 phones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. One of these could be the modern iteration of highly acclaimed Nokia 3310.
HMD Global is going to hold an event on February 26 in Barcelona, where 3 smartphones and one feature phone will be unveiled. The smartphones include Nokia 6 — launched in China already, but not available anywhere else. Two other smartphones Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are also expected to debut.
Nokia 6:
You may already know about the specifications of Nokia 6. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass and polarizer layer on top. On the inside it packs a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Andreno 505 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB Internal Storage along with a microSD card slot. All of it powered by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery.
Nokia 6 features a 16-Megapixel phase detection auto focus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The front features an 8-Megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens.
In terms of connectivity, there’s dual SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, OTG, 3.5mm jack and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
Nokia 6 will carry a price tag of around $250, but the price could be a different depending upon certain markets.
Nokia 5:
The Nokia 5 will have a smaller display of 5.2 inches at 720p, same octa-core processor but the RAM will be 2GB. The rear camera is rumored to be 12 megapixels and it will have a smaller battery.
These changes would also reduce the price as compared to Nokia 6 and it is said to carry a price tag of around $200.
Nokia 3:
This will be an entry level smartphone, with a 5-inch screen, octa-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The price might be below $150, and there is no confirmation if this phone would support 4G or not.
Nokia 3310:
The most interesting of these devices is not a smartphone rather it is the modern version of the indestructible feature phone, the Nokia 3310.
This new phone will feature a long-lasting battery and the same solid build quality. It would be a dual-SIM phone and would price $60.
Some of these specifications and prices might differ on the actual launch. Moreover we will also get to know in which markets Nokia will be launching these devices. So hold your horses until Feb 26 and we will keep you updated meanwhile.
