Honor 8 was one the best selling smartphone last year from Huawei, featuring a premium glass design with special mirror coating. It also packed a dual-camera setup (not Leica) and some top-notch hardware inside.
However, the high price tag was kind of a deal breaker for many, that’s why Huawei has introduced a “Lite” version of Honor 8, that looks somewhat similar to its elder sibling but noticeably lacks a dual-camera setup.
The hardware specifications are also trimmed down a bit to lower the cost of this phone, but that doesn’t mean it won’t perform well.
Honor 8 Lite at a Glance:
It features a similar 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution and a 2.5D curved glass on both front and backside. The SoC underneath is the octa-core Kirin 655, and the RAM is 3GB. Honor 8 Lite only features 16GB of internal storage, but you also get a microSD card slot to expand the storage.
Honor 8 Lite has a 12-Megapixels on the back with F2.2 aperture, PDAF auto-focus and a single LED flash. The front selfie camera is 8 MP with 77-degree angle of view.
It also has the fingerprint scanner on the back, that doubles as a multi-function key and you can assign different shortcuts to it.
This phone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box and packs a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery. There’s no mention of fast-charging so it might take up to 2 hours for the battery to juice up completely.
Pricing and Availability of Honor 8 Lite:
