World’s first smartphone charger with the potential to supply 200W is certified in China by vivo – with mass production already in process.
According to the leaks, this new standard will be implemented on the iQOO 10 Pro smartphone, which could arrive by the end of 2022.
The V2001L0B0-CN adapter provides 20V to 10A charging and can also power 20V wireless charging at 3.25A, which means 65W. The current iQOO 9 offers 120W FlashCharge and 50W wireless charging.
However, the fastest mobile phone charging claim is not new in this industry. realme has also developed an architecture that allows speeds between 100W and 200W. For consumer safety, it is limited to the 150W on the realme GT Neo3, which is the highest charging speed in the world so far.
It is worth mentioning here that smartphone companies around the world are constantly looking for a new title “World First”, which they would place on their websites for marketing purposes – however the safety and battery health should also be considered in the longer run.
