A launch event has been scheduled by Honer in China for December 26. During the conference the company will unveil two new products namely Honor 80 GT and Honor Tablet V8 Pro. The company is also said to unveil a special edition of Honor 80 themed after “The Three-Body Problem” is also expected.

Ahead of the event, Honor has been teasing the features of these upcoming products. Earlier today, the brand revealed the chipset present underneath its new tablet.

The upcoming Honor Tablet V8 Pro flagship tablet has been confirmed be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. So, it become the industry’s first Android tablet that is equipped with this processor. In addition, Honor also said that the tablet has six world premieres.

The CPU part of Dimensity 8100 is composed of a 4*A78 large core (2.85GHz) + 4*A55 energy efficiency core (2.0GHz), the GPU is Mali-G610 MC6, and the process is TSMC 5nm technology. The Dimensity 8100 also has excellent energy efficiency, which has surpassed chips such as Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000, so this processor is also called “God U”.

According to official promotional posters, the Honor Tab V8 Pro will have flat sides. It will feature a magnetic connector on the rear for an official keyboard accessory. Its screen will also support stylus input. The product will be available in two colors, such as blue and orange.
