It has been reported that the iPhone 15 could be the first iPhone with Wi-Fi 6E, Although it is still months before the release of the Apple iPhone 15 series. There have already been numerous rumors and reports regarding the upcoming smartphones.

In the latest report, Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley predict that the iPhone 15 will support Wi-Fi 6E at least in one of its models. As of right now, the Cupertino based giant gives Wi-Fi 6E standards on its latest iPad Pro models, alongside with the MacBook Pro and Mac mini PCs as well.

The current iPhones of the 14 series, however, have the old Wi-Fi 6 standard. For those unfamiliar, this standard works on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and the Wi-Fi 6E also works on the 6GHz band. This leads to greater speeds when it comes to wireless connections, shorter latencies, and a reduction in signal disturbance.

All in all, it makes advancements over its predecessor. But to gain the advantages of the Wi-Fi 6E, one will need to connect it to a router that is up to date with the latest standards.

Routers from well-known producers such as ASUS, TP-Link, and Netgear are included in this. Intriguingly, Wi-Fi 6E standard was purportedly believed to be featured on the iPhone 13 and even the iPhone 14 series. Since this didn’t materialize, the iPhone 15 series is thought to have a higher possibility of embracing this wireless connectivity technology.

Nevertheless, this is still an unconfirmed report, so be wary of this news for now. We will definitely get more information about it in the coming months.
