Currently In WhatsApp, you are able to star messages so you can refer back to them at a later time, but they are only visible to the person who saved them in the chat and can only be accessed from the chat menu.
WhatsApp is also exploring the possibility of allowing users to pin messages in a chat, as many other messaging apps, such as Discord, Telegram and others do. This new feature was found in the most recent beta version of WhatsApp Android (2.23.3.17) by WABetaInfo.
Starred messages let you keep important conversations for later, and the same is true of pinned messages. Clicking on a pinned message will take you directly to the original chat. Unlike starred messages, though, everyone in the chat can see pinned messages.
If you don’t have the latest WhatsApp update with this feature, the app will prompt you to update before using it. This feature is currently in beta but should be accessible in its finished form soon.
An upcoming update from WhatsApp will make placing calls simpler and faster. Just like chat shortcuts, users will be able to add call shortcuts to their device’s home screen, allowing them to make a call without launching the app.
To create a call shortcut, go into your WhatsApp contacts and access the calling options. Here you can set up call shortcuts for particular contacts.
This feature has been seen in one of the most recent beta versions of WhatsApp for Android, so it is likely that it will be released widely soon.
