Arslan “Ash” Siddique, a gamer from Lahore, Pakistan, triumphed over Meo-IL, a competitor from South Korea, to win the Tekken 7 match at EVO Japan 2023 on Sunday.
After winning the Tekken 7 competition in Japan and the Evolution Championship Series in the United States in 2019, this is Siddique’s third EVO championship. Last year, he came in third place in the EVO 2022 Tekken 7 competition. Siddique utilised the character Zafina to defeat Meo-IL, who used Geese Howard, 3-0 in the tournament’s final round.
Director and chief producer of the Tekken series games, Katsuhiro Harada, later gave cash and other awards to the top three victors, including Rangchu of South Korea in third place. EVO is the world’s largest fighting game tournament, bringing together players from all over the world in Las Vegas to compete in a variety of fighting games.
EVO Japan is a world championship that follows in the footsteps of the main EVO tournament. Another Pakistani gamer, Atif Butt, won the Tekken World Tour 2022 videogame tournament in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in February, becoming the new “King of the Iron Fist.”
