With less than a month until Pakistanis head to the polls, Google announced the launch of the Google Trends Pakistan General Election page on Tuesday.

The search engine aims to help both media outlets and the general public easily access election-related data through this tool. The Google Trends Pakistan General Election page showcases the top search queries, topics, and interests related to parties contesting the elections. Additionally, it provides data on the most-searched election-related topics in different parts of the country, such as the economy, taxes, and wages, among others, according to the tech giant.

Google emphasized that users can embed all charts from the trends page on any site, and the information will continue to receive updates even after being placed on an outlet’s site.

However, the tech giant clarified that the page functions as a tool reflecting people’s search behavior and is not a “poll or survey” indicating voting intentions.

“It simply mirrors people’s search interest in specific topics at a local level over time. A surge in a particular search query does not imply that a political party is somehow ‘more popular’ or ‘winning,'” stated Google.
