Lenovo Launches the Inexpensive ZUK Edge Flagship Smartphone

After countless leaks, finally the Edge phone smartphone has been officially launched. In case you don’t know ZUK is brand from Lenovo that aims to revolutionize the mobile Internet and Internet of Things.

ZUK Edge at a glance:

ZUK Edge picks up where ZUK Z1 left, by offering flagship class specifications at a budget price. It packs a Snapdragon 821 chipset, Adreno 530 GPU, 4/6 GBs of RAM and 64GBs of UFS 2.0 internal storage.

Despite its edgy name, it doesn’t feature a dual curved display like we have seen on Galaxy S7 Edge, however the 5.5” display is protected with 2.5D glass and it offers 86.4% screen-to-body ratio.

It’s just 7.68mm thick, and weighs 160g and offered in Ceramic White or Titanium Crystal Black options.

ZUK Edge features a 13-Megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and 1.34μm pixel size and secondary 8-Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and USB Type-C. Other than that ZUK Edge also features a finger print sensor, a heart rate monitor, UV sensor and altimeter. A 3.5mm headphones jack and Dirac HD Sound promises to provide better Hi-Fi audio.

It gets the power from a 3,100mAh battery, that also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, so you don’t have to worry about low battery issues.

Availability and Price Details:

ZUK Edge will go on sale on January 1 in China, pricing for the 4GB RAM version is $330, whereas the 6GB RAM model costs $360. It is expected that this phone will also be launched in Pakistan in the coming months, however the prices may not be the same.
