An official render image of Huawei’s upcoming octa-core flagship device, Ascend P7 has been leaked on the Weibo social network. This phone could make its debut at next week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Ascend P7 (codename Sophia) is rumored to be packed with a newer 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Unlike its predecessor P7 includes a 5 to 5.5 inches Full HD display and it will be a little thicker (around 6.3mm). It will running on Android 4.4 KitKat out the box along with EMUI 2.x on top of it.

Cameras in the new device have been also upgraded, now it features a 13-megapixel primary shooter and 8-megapixel front facing camera.

It won’t support LTE, but NFC and wireless charging features has been added to it. The render image also reveals that unlike all previous smartphones from Huawei, the speakers are now on the front; one above the screen and the second below it, just like HTC One.
