After nearly a decade, Skype has finally introduced the guest feature, that lets users make and receive Skype calls without the need to download the application or register for an account.
Conversations made Easier:
This web-based interface allows anyone to go to Skype.com and create a conversation after entering their desired name. Each conversation has a unique link and it can be shared with anyone across the globe.
The link is valid for 24 hours and after that the conversations will expire and you have to create another link to continue your communication.
The web-based interface allows you to have both audio and video calls. You can also send the smileys to spice up the conversation and file transfer option is also available.
Although Microsoft is quite late to introduce this feature, but it is a new beginning for those not comfortable to share their private email / account ids with total strangers; as now they can have conversations with anyone without any need to register or download an application.
