Samsung has finally revealed the actual cause behind Galaxy Note7 going explosive. As you would have imagined battery was the main culprit.

In in an official statement, Samsung says that it began to get reports of issues with the Galaxy Note7 in September, 2016.

After that they launched product replacement program with new batteries from a different supplier. However, same issues appeared in the replacement devices. So as a result production ended and all sold devices were recalled.

The Actual Problem:

Samsung says that they assembled a task force of 700 engineers who tested more than 200,000 devices and 30,000 batteries. It also asked third parties to provide objective analysis and here’s what they discovered:

Samsung says that they have learned a lot from this mishap and decided to put in place 8-point battery safety check for all future devices.

It’s a shame that a company like Samsung failed to implement any such safety measures in the first place and ultimately customers had to experience these worst issues.

We do hope that Samsung learns from this mistake and would actually focus on the quality of its products rather than spending billions on advertising them.
