Last October, Google provided the latest update for its Pixel Buds Pro. Then, the tech giant rolled out native spatial audio support for the Pixel 6 and 7 series phones.
Recently, 9to5Google noticed that this same feature has been added to the Google Pixel Buds app in its most recent version. Google had previously stated that its Pixel Buds Pro would be able to utilize spatial audio.
A 360-degree surround sound experience with clear, natural sound is offered by Spatial Audio, in addition to head tracking support that enhances the user’s responsiveness.
According to 9to5Google’s report, they found a new settings page in the Google Pixel Buds app for spatial audio. On Pixel phones, this setting can be accessed through the ‘Device Details’ page. Users are able to turn on/off both spatial audio and head tracking features with ease.
Additionally, there is a demo video within the app’s settings that gives users a preview of what activating this feature sounds like so they can decide if it suits their needs.
Furthermore, a disclaimer indicates that the feature works only with supported content at the bottom of the menu, The spatial audio and head-tracking feature could be made available via a firmware update for the Pixel Buds Pro, which is slated to arrive next month as a part of the Pixel Buds Pro Feature Drop update.
