Xiaomi introduced the Watch S4 Sport, Mi Band 9, and Xiaomi Buds 5 at an event in China on July 19. These smart wearables were launched alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi Mix Flip, and the Redmi K70 Ultra.

Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport

The Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport features a titanium body and a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen. It starts at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the rubber and silicone strap options, while the titanium strap version is priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 29,900). The smartwatch includes 32MB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 5ATM waterproof rating, and a 586mAh battery, offering up to 15 days of battery life in Bluetooth-only mode and up to nine days in eSIM-supported LTE mode. It measures 46.9 x 46.9 x 12.6mm and weighs 49g without the strap.

Mi Band 9

The Mi Band 9 sports a 1.62-inch 2.5D Always-on AMOLED touch display and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Priced at CNY 249 (roughly Rs. 2,900) for the non-NFC version and CNY 299 (roughly Rs. 3,400) for the NFC variant, it also offers a Ceramic Special Edition at CNY 349 (roughly Rs. 4,000). The smart band features a 233mAh battery that can last up to 21 days. It is available in black, blue, pink gold, and silver, with additional interchangeable straps starting at CNY 69 (roughly Rs. 800).

Xiaomi Buds 5

The Xiaomi Buds 5 true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 8,000). Available in Frost Blue, Moon Shadow Black, Snow Mountain White, and Titanium Gold, they come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The earbuds feature an AI-backed three-mic system, adaptive noise cancellation (ANC), and support for various audio codecs including AAC, SBC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and some models support the LC3 codec. The charging case has a 480mAh battery, and each earbud has a 35mAh cell, providing up to 39 hours of total playback time without ANC. The case weighs 36.6g, and the earbuds weigh 4.4g each.

Additional Features

Both the Watch S4 Sport and Mi Band 9 come with preset sport modes and health monitoring features, including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure, and menstrual cycle tracking.

Event Highlights

The launch event also saw the debut of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 5,100mAh battery. Xiaomi continues to lead in innovation and market presence, reclaiming the top spot as the leading smartphone manufacturer in India for Q2 2024 according to Canalys.
